On October 23, 2024 BIA Electric will be shutting down the power to the Parker Valley from 6:00AM until 4:00PM to perform maintenance on the main line. School will be in session that day with buses running at their normal time for all students.
Le Pera Elementary School is the only school affected by the power outage. We have made arrangements for our students at Le Pera to participate in educational field trips that day. Le Pera bussing will be at its normal time for the AM routes.
If you have a student who attends Le Pera, the following information is what will happen on the 23rd:
Students in grades K-1 will be bussed into town. They will eat breakfast and lunch at Alumni Hall on the Parker High School campus. They will be visiting the fire station and the Preserve. Students will return to Alumni Hall for lunch at approximately 1:15PM. Students will be transported home right after lunch.
Students in 6th-8th grades will be bussed into town. They will eat breakfast and lunch at Alumni Hall on the Parker High School campus. They will be visiting CRIT Museum and the airport. Students will return to Alumni Hall for lunch at approximately 1:15PM. Students will be transported home right after lunch.
Students in 2nd through 5th grade will be traveling to the Wildlife World Zoo in Litchfield. They will eat breakfast at Le Pera and will board the buses at Le Pera to travel to the zoo. A sack lunch will be provided. These students will return to Le Pera at approximately 4:30PM. Students will be bussed home at that time.
Please be aware that students from Le Pera will be bussed home earlier that day with the exception of those students attending the Wildlife World Zoo trip. Those students from the Wildlife World Zoo trip will be approximately an hour later than normal.
Students who attend school in town will have a normal bus schedule.

Friday, September 20, is our 2nd Annual International talk like a pirate day. Blake Primary is celebrating this made up fun holiday , you may come dress as a pirate and talk like a pirate.
We have added a few new bus stops. We now stop at ELA again after school. Also, we've reinstated the stop on Reata at the BACK gate of Lazy D. If you would like your child to be dropped off at either stop, please contact our office.
Don't forget to purchase your uniform tee shirts in the office! Price is $9.00 each, cash only, please. Student will wear them Monday thru Thursday. See you soon!

Dear Parents/Guardians:
The Arizona Department of Education Health and Nutrition Services, in collaboration with the Department of Economic Security, has released the 2024 Sun Bucks Household Application, formerly the P-EBT card.
If you were certified for free or reduced price meals for the National School Lunch Program during the school year of 23-24 and were enrolled in school for at least one day during the 23-24 school year, you are eligible for the Sun Bucks program. You can also be eligible if you received assistance from SNAP, TANF, or Medicaid, are in the Foster program, or in a Head Start program.
To apply for the Sun Bucks Program:
Visit the SUN Bucks for Parents and Families webpage (https://www.azed.gov/SUNBucks)
Open the “Applying for Sun Bucks” accordion.
Select “apply for 2024 Sun Bucks”
Complete and submit the webform by July 31, 2024.
