Hi! My name is Mrs. Sale. This is my 21st year of teaching for the Parker Unified School District. I have taught many different classes including K-12 Resource at LePera, 9 years in first grade, 4 years in second grade, and 5-6 Resource at Wallace. This will be my 5th year as the first-grade CLIP teacher at Blake.
CLIP stands for Collaborative Literacy Intervention Project. In CLIP I work with first-grade students in small groups or individually to teach them reading strategies they are struggling to pick up in the regular classroom. We work on both reading and writing for 30-45 minute sessions.
Daily homework is very important in the CLIP program. Your student will have a small book to read, a sentence puzzle to put together, and a ring of high-frequency words they need to practice reading and writing. Doing homework helps your child to become a better reader sooner.
My door is always open so please drop by and watch a lesson!
