Welcome! My name is Aryn Romo, and this is my 14th year teaching at Blake. I was born and raised in Parker and attended all Parker schools so it is neat to be teaching at the same school I went to as a kid. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University. I am CLIP (Collaborative Literacy Intervention Project) trained and have a Reading and SEI (Structured English Immersion) Endorsement. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children, shopping, cooking, going to the movies, and watching the Diamondbacks play! I am also the Executive Director of the Miss La Paz County Scholarship Pageant.
I have a lot of great things planned that will help your child be a successful first grader. Students in room 28 will become great readers, writers, and mathematicians, while learning about science and social studies along the way! I want this to be a great year for all of us and one that your child will remember. I have high expectations for all of my students and expect them to do their very best work at all times. I want this class to be known for its outstanding teamwork, academic achievements, and good citizenship!
